Brighton was founded in Utah and currently works with clients in Las Vegas, Portland and Minnesota. The site in Northfield is a drop-site location. The team is here to do paperwork, email, meet with each other, etc. All referrals or phone calls are routed through their St. Louis Park location, their headquarters is there. You won’t see a sign go up along Hwy 3. They aren’t there to market to potential clients
We sat down with Laura Mech, RN – a Clinical Manager for Brighton located out of the Northfield office. Laura manages a team of Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Home Health-Aid Personnel, Chaplains, and Social Workers for this area. Her team of 12 serves from just south of Faribault, to east of Cannon Falls and west to Montgomery. Brighton can serve a 60-mile radius from the St. Louis Park office.
We asked Laura a couple of questions about Brighton – read on to learn more about this great organization.
How did you get involved in the industry?
Laura loves the geriatric population. She says “there is something wonderful about going into someone’s home, building relationships, and easing the burden of end of life or assisting them with recovery.”
What kind of services does your business offer?
Brighton sees patients in their home, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities. It is a small privately held company who started the business because they wanted to see hospice done differently. They wanted it to be more patient-focused. They provide Home Health-Aid up to 6 days per week.
They live by the mission statement;
“Our mission at Brighton Home Health and Hospice is to provide the best physical, emotional, and spiritual care for our patients and their families. We achieve our mission by hiring the most compassionate and skilled people in the industry who deliver clinical expertise and exceed our patient’s expectations…”
Where do you see the business going in the future?
We have a growing team, most of the team has worked in this community for a while and have relationships with the facilities. Northfield is central for this team and we look forward to growing even more relationships here.
Tell us about the space your business is located in:
We love the location – it is centrally located in the community and easy meet at. Northfield Construction did a beautiful job – they made the space look more homey and comfortable for us.
