Bluewater Commercial Real Estate is excited to welcome Gran Plaza, a local Mexican restaurant, to the Heritage Square Retail Center. As part of the Heritage Square Block Party, you’ll be able to get a taste of their famous food.
Here, you can read an excerpt about their new Northfield location from a news article written by Camey Thibodeau of the Faribault Daily News:
Gran Plaza, which has been open in downtown Faribault for about seven years, is planning to open a new Northfield location in June, near the intersection of Jefferson Parkway and Heritage Drive, just off Highway 3. The location is the former Kurry Kabob restaurant in Heritage Square.
Salvador Robles, one of the restaurant’s three owners, said the new location is currently being completely remodeled and they are waiting for approval of their liquor license ahead of their grand opening.
“We are excited,” Robles said. “We really, really like the new location. It will be nice to expand our limits.”
Robles said the Northfield Gran Plaza will be smaller than the Faribault restaurant, with seating for about 90 patrons, and will employ 10-12 people.
The Northfield location will feature a full bar, the same menu and the same great service, according to Robles.
Gran Plaza’s sister restaurants include Plaza Morena Campestre Grill with locations in Owatonna and Albert Lea and El Molino in Waseca.
Many people on the Northfield News’ Facebook page were thrilled to hear that Gran Plaza is coming to Northfield.
“This is great news,” said Facebook user Joy Heinecke Mathews. “I love Gran Plaza! Their service is amazing and their food is delicious every time we go!”
